PROJECT

-

The landscape design played with a dot-to-dot motif drawing inspiration from Activity Based Learning, one of the principal philosophies in this 21st century learning elementary school. The various play areas are laid out in circles and colourful dots link various areas of the school site and become a playful theme of the school site design. The dots lead to the entrances to the building as well as to the play areas at the back of the school. Kids can hop along to school or run along the dotted lines while waiting for pick up making the pathways part of the play areas as opposed to simply linear connections and thus including the entire school grounds part of the theme and game.

The paved area in front of the main entrance functions as a multipurpose plaza, while the back of the school is play, sport and natural learning environment.
